The three days of the wedding – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – are told from the differing points of view of the bride’s uncle, the groom’s grandmother, a neighbour of the bride’s family, and a long-standing ex-student friend of the groom. It becomes clear to all that a lot more than a wedding is taking place at this event, and those who wish to interfere with it don’t necessarily have the best interests of the couple at heart.
